I like this, very dramatic. Haven't yet been to see them myself , only photos of them. Really must take a trip over there.

I think this is a terrific image. love the water and the muted colours adding atmosphere. Somehow although the colours are dark it isn't sinister or spooky for me. I absolutely love it. Thanks for posting it. I should have been starting my work but signed in to have a peek at the gallery and saw your image. I had to sign in and say how great I thought it was. I know the beach at Crosby where the Gormley statues are, although it is many years since i have visited Liverpool.

Nice to see your work again Jennifer. I like your brushstrokes and the squares at different angles making the painting very striking. Excellent. I can see how this one sold.

I much prefer your painting to Gormley's work, but I suppose the saving grace is that if he hadn't sculpted them, you couldn't have painted them.

Hi Jennifer, a long time since I was last in your gallery...I agree very striking...very bold...very atmospheric...very beautiful and deservedly sold...I like it.

I really, really like this. The way you have dealt with empty space is just awsome. The clever thing is that actually there's very little in this picture... but there are no boring or empty bits. Superb. Just how big is it?

Thank you Diana, I got all my photo,s from a freind who lives there, Anthony Mottram he told me to use them for painting ect, I have a calendar on my website with 12 images which I will eventually get to paint some of them.

Thank you Angela. , I found the colour is more intense using Oil or other medium straight from the tube with a pallette knife, I would like to paint angel of the north too which he created, I am from that part of the world originally. Thank you Jeanette nice to see you again, will pop in to catch up on your work and others tonight.

Thank you phil and Robert , the statue,s fasinate me, they all have their own name tags too, they were destined for the USA Awhile ago but with a public outcry got their repreive, they bring many visitors to the Crosby beach.

Thank you Ade, the painting was 4ft x 20in,if i remember rightly there was a bit more at the top than show, it was difficult to get it all even on camera , and was better in real life, someone in France bought it for his son which lives in the Uk, on his trip over here they visited the Crosby beach and his son was fasinated with them,----------- This peticula one started its life in colour I was initally it was going to have all of the 100 on the canvas, it was looking good but I then had the idea of the squares and the eighty odd in the sea then looked like black dots so I know it will have to be in colour which I will do, then that will be the final one of this series:)
