Lovely! I especially like that blue against the green.

Thanks Spencer, Diane and Heather. The still life was in a basement building with fluorescent light. I had a limited palette with all the greens derived from blue and yellow colours. I wanted that aspect to assist a colour harmony . The rich red and blue colours were present. The dark green base to anchor the still life because the base shadows looked weak. I welcome your remarks as I wasn't sure how people would respond to Fiorella.

I like the way the leaves seem to be so alive Donald. The complementary colours work so well here.

Hi Carole, I'm pleased you like the Fiorella painting. Named after an Italian friend in Bologna. It means Little Flower in Italian. It was a chance encounter. I liked its graceful setting. And finished the painting in about two hours.
