Love the variety of your designs and the way you have painted this in such an original, charming manner Chris.

Chris - yet again you have come up trumps! I think that is one of the most delightful of your paintings - full of interest!!

Brilliant detail , Chris and beautifully done !

I love the way you bring an old photograph back to life.

Lovely David as always

Chris!! Sorry!!

Thank you Carole David Anne Michael Denise and Faye for all your lovely comments. I do enjoy trying to unravel the mystery of historical black and white photos. Getting the shading right when all you have is very black pockets of colour is a challenge. And detail is often blurred but it's fun. Thanks again.

Great style Chris. I am enjoying your interpretations of old black and white photos.

Thank you Heather and David for your kind support and interest. I have always enjoyed history and nearly every photograph has a story to be told.

Love this. I think I will have to have a go at your style 😊.

Wonderful shapes describing the well and surroundings Chris. It can’t be easy to transfer the age and history into colour, but you have succeeded.

Thank you Romila feel free to give it a go and good luck. Fiona thanks as always for your kind and encouraging comments they are appreciated. Thanks Mario your very kind to say so.

Again I have tried to use a black and white photograph dating back to probably 1900 as my inspiration. This is a Winch Well used particularly on higher ground where water lay at deeper levels.
