First of all thanks everyone for taking the time to post your lovely comments. In answer to both Carole's why I paint and ink the way I do? The answer is I don't know. I think I started when I had done a lack luster painting and didn't know how to improve it. So just started inking the shapes and washes and thought it enhanced my work. Has become a habit now. However I never ink the sky.

Whatever you do Chris it’s magic because it’s a lovely style you have. It’s fresh and appealing….and this one is certainly one of the best you’ve posted. I especially like the areas that you have left without colour, it gives a restful place to take a breathe, to then carry on through the rest of the landscape.
