Still have work to do on this one but unsure what would be best for background. Original photo I took was of the car between other cars in a street and has to be changed. But I will need to start putting in some relevant reflections before I go much further.
What does anyone think? On grass, on tarmac, or blurred background? And what colours do you think would make the car stand out? Leaving the background unpainted isn't really an option due to bits of splatter!
Thanks in advance

Just to say - I agree with the others: I've painted a few cars on commission (mostly Ferrraris) and their natural surrounds seem to suit them best - i.e. tarmac, blurred cars in the background perhaps, but never a field of green. (And may I say - I'm a devotee of Formula 1, but it WAS hard work!). And I haven't got the damn' paintings now, because I never photographed or catalogued them! So have lost paintings of two cars, plus a pencil portrait of Enzo Ferrari ..... ALWAYS keep a record!

Been doing a bit more on this one. No driver so can't really have it going at speed! My attempts at figures and faces usually end in failure so best not attempt to insert at this late stage. Think I might leave any further work on the car as although not perfect I am often guilty of fiddling with an otherwise reasonable effort and making things worse. I've done a very loose and minimal background to leave "the car the star" as Lewis suggested. Any comments welcomed before I sign it off, post on gallery and then file it away with the others. I really need to find something to do with all my paintings!!
