Looking for inspiration I watched a programme on wolves and took some great photos off the television, I decided to do my work in oil on 14 x 10 Loxley canvas board. here are my stages so far.
Great Linda, I love to see these progress.  It's looking very good.
Looking really good Linda, I’m looking forwards to watching it develop. Really pleased you felt inspired to paint such a beautiful animal and to do it as a work in progress.
This is really lovely Linda, I really like the background too.  Wolves are magnificent creatures
Fascinating to watch your painting develop, looking good. Like Hilary I like the way you have painted the trees in the background.
Beautiful and very interesting for me because I'm just starting with oils so it's good to see it develop from the under painting. Great subject Linda.
I also love a WIP Linda, and you have a great pose for the wolf. Look forward to seeing more.
Good choice of cool colours for the background and lovely trees.  Can't wait for the world to emerge.
A lovely pieces of work, Linda. Good to see how you are progressing.
Thank you Lew, Paul, Hilary, Katy, Denise, Tessa, Linda and CJ, for being so interested in this work. I also love to see WIP it's good to see how other artists approach their work. I have learned such a lot from being on this site, especially from Alan and Robert. I wish you all the best for 2021 and hope it's a better year for all of us!!
Another go at it this afternoon, started to work on the wolf, raw sienna, titanium white, cobalt blue hue and a tiny bit of Payne's grey.
