Looking excellent Denise.
Looking forward to seeing the finished painting, colours are lovely.
Here are the final stages of the painting for anyone following. I put Alizarin Crimson glaze over the kettle and utensils. The pictures are a little dark.

as an amateur (in oil&acrylic) I can only be amazed!! I think it's incredibly good Denise!

Lovely work Denise, in fact I’d say ‘stunning’!
That is super, Denise 😊
Glazes can bring so many paintings to life (well, when they're well done - as was this).

Thanks all. I will give it a varnish in a weeks time after taking a final glance over it.
Very well painted, Denise. I like the reflective light on the table from the copper kettle, and  to your fish.
It is very good Denise.  The dark background, and, for that matter, the still life subject, gives the overall composition a classical mood. Well done.
Thanks for your feedback Carol and Trevor, it is always appreciated.
Very splendid Denise...we expect no less from you..lol
