I thought I would put my WIP up, as I am about half way through now. It's the largest painting I've done so far being 3ft 4" x 2ft 6". I'm not looking at anything so it's totally my own creation and mostly guesswork along the way. I am enjoying doing it and learning as I go, like I usually do. I'm not sure how it will look by the time I finish, I might decide to cover the full body with a garment, I'm undecided. I've done a bit more work on the face and hair this morning and I'm going to start some work on the body and garment this afternoon.
Your patience and tenacity is showing excellent results .   I am intrigued by your thought process . Keep at it.
It’s looking really good Denise , it could go as it is. Looking forward how it progresses .
That's really great.  You are doing a painting the same size and orientation as me at the moment and I am not finding it easy at this scale.  Probably would help if I had a more sturdy easel as my line tend to wander off a bit!
Love the light and shadow here Denise, and the brushwork - the expression on her face is beautifully handled as well.
Thank you, Denise. I love seeing female versions of the crucifixion when they aren’t salacious (yours isn’t). It’s a reminder to men that Christ didn’t just die for men, as a man, but equally for women. Kero going. Well done. Much love and God bless 🙂😃❤️🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
If it were mine, I’d definitely NOT put a garment on. I’ve been looking at it for a while, the shadows and light are beautiful. It’s a powerful artwork.
Thanks everyone, I've only just noticed the comments as they must have got lost when all the bombardment of nonsense post keep coming on the forum. I appreciate your comments very much. I decided to start some fine rope piping on the garment and defined the shape more. I'm hoping to have the piping finished today. I've worked a bit on the cross.

This is so good Denise .
You have so made this your own Denise.
Thanks Paul and Sylvia, the rope piping is making me crossed eyed, it's tedious, I've done some more work on the face today which I'm happy with, I have lifted it with some glazing so it is blending a bit more and not looking so harsh. There is more work to do on the whole thing but I'm getting there.
