I love how you’ve done the sky. And the reflections on the camper are coming along great. My dad used to have one of these (blue & white with lift up roof). He only sold it as it was getting too expensive to maintain, and run (only did bout 12 mpg!).
Cheers all 😁 It’s a miracle I haven’t had one of these Helen, had everything else I think! 12mpg’s not cool really, does much better smiles per gallon. It’s been really nice to work on something that’s not Mustang shaped, and with a picturesque background.
Haven’t picked a brush up for nearly three weeks due to selling cars, selling houses, work…it’s all go! So had a free night tonight and thought I’d do a bit of camper: Probably doesn’t look much different, but the white bodywork and bumpers are in there now, along with the window rubbers and dark areas of the wheels blocked in. Hope to get more progress quickly now I’ve started up again, want this and the other raffle prize I’ve got on the go finished before we up sticks!
Blocked the interior and background grass in tonight: Need to work the reflections in once dry but it’s starting to get some depth now.
It’s looking good Anth , and I’m looking forward to seeing it when it’s done.
Got a good day in on this one… front end now pretty much finished , tyres and one wheel in, and a start on the trees and bushes:
Your patience is amazing. I had thought you had the colour wrong...they do another green, then revelation; , I saw one just like  this last week and thought of you.  Awe ....🙃
Superb artwork as usual Anth , the detailing is amazing.
Thanks both :) know the colour you mean Sylvia, it’s a deeper green, this one is so seventies!
Took the opportunity to get some trees and bushes in at lunchtime - half an hour’s work has pulled things together so much! All of the foliage needs some highlights - several layers, dark to light/bright, to give it some depth. Good start though.
I'm a bit confused... I don't like cars in art for some weird reason. I did only once commission for car mechanic, this is how I partially had paid for repair  ;) It was done by pyrography (burning in wooden board). Anthony - your art did gather my attention since outlines! It is something special in it, or it's you who are so skilled to produce such magnificent art!? I am amazed with details, colours, landscape behind, the car itself is spot on! Wow...
Thanks Artur! Car art is a funny one, not popular with everyone…I like to not focus in the car itself (although I sometimes do) but to tie it into its surroundings. The background of this one totally brings it to life, I’ve enjoyed painting it very much.
