Fantastic painting Paul. I like the way you have captured the colours on a working vessel and made the scene very realistic.
Fascinating to see this progressing Dixie, and I think it’s an excellent, skilful and confident result. Great detail.
Yes I agree, it is a skilful drawing Paul so well done and some lovely colours. I think the water needs darkening somewhat, particularly around the boat hulls, and maybe a few ripples...
Thanks for the comments folks. Alan you are correct about the water, its on my list of finishing off tasks I want a bit more shadow around the boats with no hard line.
The reflections/shadows around the vessels will absolutely nail this one!
I think so also! I knew you hadn’t finished that part, but it was worth mentioning just in case...
This is looking so good Paul, well worth the effort of spending time on it and not trying to rush things.
Thanks all for your comments and encouragement. I’m going to stop at this for a day or so, then re look at it before posting in the gallery. I found doing the riggings very difficult , due to still having splints on my right hand part of the reason I want to leave it.
I’ve decided to leave it at this for now and will post it in the gallery I have added a bit of white to the rear of the tug and bow  to the ship to suggest a little bit of movement. Did thing of some gulls and doing the rigging a bit better, but due  to hand problems I’m not going to fiddle may add the at a later date.
Nice, very nice indeed.  Really captured the look and feel of the boats.
I think you have done a terrific job Paul despite your splint. Its wise to leave it for the time being, you don't want to mess up now after all that good work.
Fantastic details Dixie, you are so good at these boats.
