The foreground / background contrast works beautifully Tessa, loving the trees and bushes as well!
Thanks Anthony. This is the latest today, think it’s getting there.
That’s looking really good Tessa.
Thank you Dixie.
Well I think it’s about finished. I’ve added the path through the field. Not sure if I should have but hopefully it leads your eye across the field.
Nice work Tessa, interesting to see its development.
Excellent painting Tessa
Many thanks Alan and Dixie. I’ll put it on the gallery.
Great development, Tessa, and a super outcome. If I might make one suggestion for your deliberation, I'd consider making the path more ragged and not so complete IE not one unbroken line. Enjoyed the thread.
Thanks Brian. I actually did make it more ragged from what it was, and wasn’t sure whether to put it in at all! It appears rougher in the real painting but valid point as I wasn’t sure myself whether it added or detracted from the final view.
I think the path makes a lot of sense, Tessa. A well used stile will always have a path, whereas the abandoned ones will have little to show. Some are simply suggestions, kind of patchy. Bri
Good thought Bri. I’ll have another look and may tweak further!
