More cars. Yes, I’m a one trick pony, but a happy one :) Sam’s husband Jason has asked me to paint her cars for her birthday. She owns a bonny orange Focus ST and a Mustang convertible (there’s the connection).  I was provided with individual shots of the cars and asked to drop them onto the Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans. This involved flipping the Mustang picture horizontally then flipping things like the screen lettering, number plate etc back and distorting them to fit. Jason also wanted an obvious Le Mans reference so I distorted the logo to give it perspective and added it to the track. Here’s where it’s at so far: Got a bit longer to finish this one so going to try and get it and the other WIP I’ve got elsewhere on here finished at the same time - preferably before I start back at work!
This looks like another amazing Anth job, sounds like a lot of work just to get the basic sketch done. Do you find time to do anything else , like sleep, eat etc, let along work.
I’m a painting machine at the minute Paul! Got to work through the multiple job lists that SWMBO leaves me as well! Looking at things in as positive a light as possible at the moment though - and keeping myself busy.
I'll be following progress with interest. As always it looks like a great project.  I do feel your pain though as every time I think I may be able to get some painting done SWMBO thinks of another job! Never realised how much I'd  let DIY jobs needing doing around the house build up so much.
Likewise. I’ve been getting up relatively late (for me anyway) whilst furloughed, but this morning I got up at 6. It’s 9am and I’ve walked the mutt, been shopping, been up a ladder to get stuff from the garage attic and change the light bulb, been up the ladder again to do some weed removal, and done the hot tub chemicals! On the plus side that means I get the whole day at the new one, which is great :)
Had a good day after I got through my jobs list :) the racetrack is rather fiddly because of the light thrown across it and the out-of-focus blurred edges, but it’s looking ok so far: For the foreground, I may try a different approach - block the colour in, then use glazes to achieve the ‘striped’ effect.
Another good day on this one: Foreground still needs some work but going to let it dry for a couple of days and continue with the other WIP.

Found out this morning that, as of Monday, I’m back to work - so ploughing on with this one! Background finished and working on the Bonny ASBO Orange paintwork of the Focus ST:
Looking like another good one Anth. I think your furlough has been very productive!
Cheers Tessa! I’ve turned out more in the last two months than I did last year, but all good things must come to an end unfortunately :)
Another good'n.  Looking forward to seeing it progress.
