A4 watercolour of an old deep sea fishing trawler , this particular vessel was made of wood. They were big boats, needed accommodation space and  deep hold for the catch . Picked the wrong time to paint this as it’s extremely hot and I’m having difficulty getting the paint to move as I want it to , working on small areas for short periods. Base sketch and base colours at this stage , decided to add a bit of white to the cobalt blue to give the faded paint look on the hull .
A bit more detail added , need to stop now as it’s far to hot for watercolours.
Bring it up to date , won’t be doing anymore with it until tomorrow as it’s too hot .

Managed to get twenty minutes on this before it became to hot , needed to do short sessions, will wait till evening now before doing anything else to it . Just put some more base colours on the dockside buildings, will wait till it’s cooled to do detailed work. Please note I’m a bit of a scruffy worker , but then I’m told I dress scruffy so obviously it’s my thing .

A little bit more work done this afternoon, Hope to finish it off next session .
Finally finished , glad it’s done as it’s taken so long because of the hot weather, I had lost interest in painting it and did so as it was a WIP . I’m ok with it but lost the enthusiasm a while back , normally it would be in the bin a week or so ago.
You've done a grand job, Dixie, never put your w.i.p in the bin, just put it to one side for another day.

I think the issue wasn’t so much the painting, it was the awful heat making it more difficult than it needed to be , having finished it and posted it I’m a lot more content with how it looks .  One of those the heat got to the poor old fella and he sulked about his painting, silly sod .
You've done the forum and yourself proud, Dixie, carry on the good work.
Great job Paul, especially in the heat. I've left a comment on the Gallery.
Nice work Paul, with an interesting industrial/dockside collection of buildings in the background!
