Fed up with drawings a foot from my visage and strong lights.  Though the man and child will be off to France next week to the dad and kid holding hands... Marjorie has encouraged me to just go for it, so am sitting at my BIG easel and looking across the Vale.  Still have a light and good day light.  Let's see where it goes  am using a big big bristle brush .. Plus covered in my usual acrylic splash. But having fun.....oh yes it's wine time. Great.
Looks good Sylvia , and your enjoying yourself as well . I’m looking forward to seeing it progress, don’t dip you brush in the wine by mistake, like a pound for ever time I’ve  done that with my tea.
I do feel for you, Sylvia - I know how important painting and drawing is to you: and if your eyes were mine, I'd be bloody angry with them.  However - you've done a fine job here. I think also that you've answered a question many people have asked on various forums, i.e. can you/should you use a bristle brush with acrylics?  To which the answer is YES, of course you can -- and you can use synthetics with oil; and with watercolour; and with gouache; with which you can also use bristle brushes, so get over yourselves and pick up the brush you feel you want to use: most of the time, you'll be right. Wine time here, too - and friends want to meet up with me tomorrow; and another friend on Monday!  It's hell being all the rage, I tell you!   But very encouraging that friends still want to meet up with me, which, I am sure, is true for you too.  It's our magnetic personalities, you see....
Great advice from Marjorie, Sylvia and it's looking good already. Plenty of energy in this painting and enjoy your wine.
As Denise says, it’s full of energy which shows you are enjoying yourself!
I say Sylvia…..I like it as it is!  It has wonderful movement everywhere…..the sky, tree’s and the landscape. There’s a splash of VanGogh , love it. Sylvia, did you know you have a cockerel in your kitchen, has naughty Sam chased it on top of your cupboard! 😁
Like the other commentators here Sylvia I love the energy, the colours, and yes I did think Van Gogh as soon as I saw that sky (I hate boring skies!) Go for it, and enjoy that wine too.
Happy my let rip pic is getting good vibes... Yes Fiona ne sits up there watching mine and Sams every movement.   Very occasionally he gets dusted.   He is called Cocky.
It’s a blast of colour and light Sylvia and really looks like you are enjoying it. PS took me a while to find Cocky! 🤣
Love the brave and bold colour attack Sylvia. More power to your elbow..I can visualise a group of Druids or some-such having a meeting down there. (-:
Those are my kinda colours! Sylvia, let rip more often.
Just caught up with this one.  It’s an impressive size, Sylvia, and full of energy, as others have said.  I especially like the foreground contrasts.
