Thank you Andrew and Carole , the painting is roughly based on the Dales but could be any valley and hills so many areas have the Forrest breaks and clearances on the hillsides .
Just a little more to do then I will call it a day on this one , I really enjoyed painting a landscape and appreciate the advice and comments.

It come to the point where I say enough or I will start to fiddle with it ,strange how when we come towards the end of a painting we speed up to get it finished. It’s something I keep telling myself to stop doing but the next time I do exactly the same , quite a lot of emotions involved in painting well the process of painting it .
Full blown painting and in a mount , think I will post it without the mount later.

Thank you Alan for the advice and kind comment. Silly isn’t it that I always remember to do the distant trees etc bluer colour and make a point of explaining why to anyone who asks , but typically school boy error I forget to obey the rule myself , fortunately Alan you picked up on it .
