Cheers Dixie! I’ve cracked on tonight after having the weekend off, caught up a bit and got some colour on there: Got to admit, I’m struggling to ‘paint what I see’ a bit on this one - the car is candy purple but there are massive contrasts in colour here. I’ve made the lower bodywork more purple than it looks in the reference, but seems to be working ok so far.

Not much progress this week, but progress nonetheless: I’ve just received reference pics for another three paintings so need to get in gear with this one! (See what I did there?)
With Sarah, Phil, Ellen, Rose the dentist, and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

Yes, I see what you did there, you cunning little wit, you!  Coming along well, and I think I can learn from you - we don't need to rush it; the painting's going nowhere, it WILL wait for us.

Had some time off due to, firstly, work and, secondly, a week long hospital stay, which left me drained and incapable of picking a brush up. Finally got the urge last night and started in on the front end detail on Bad Habit: It’s small progress in the scheme of things, but so pleased I’ve managed a couple of hours. Was starting to think my mojo was on permanent vacation!

Bumper and space below now finished, just the number plate and turn signal bezels to do and that’s the front end done!

Sorry you have not been well Anth.   I never really comment on your stuff as I don’t really understand cars.   But yours always look very beautifully painted.   ( I just get in mine and turn the key and hope it goes , it’s blue ) .

I echo Sylvia, Anth. Cars are not my area of interest 😆but that’s not to say I don’t appreciate your skill. I’m a bit impatient artwise and I “ binge” when I paint - can’t stop till I finish ( just the same with chocs).
