Bad Habit is a 1974 Dodge Challenger drag car owned by my very good friends Tig and Cath Napier. I’ve known the car for longer than the Napiers, first saw it at a show way back in 1988 and became friends with them around 10 years later. It’s gradually developed into the insane wheelstanding quarter miler you’ll see here, and I’ve been threatening to paint the car for many years. Cath contacted me a couple of weeks ago to ask if I could paint Habit for Tig for Christmas, so I of course said yes. The reference pic she sent me was very energetic, and very detailed, so I’m working slightly larger than usual at 24x20”. Spent all night correcting some bits on the pic and tracing it onto the board: Hope to start getting some paint onto it tomorrow night - six weeks to get it finished!
Good grief!  Best of luck with that one!
Can only agree with Linda! Seriously you do like a challenge and will no doubt smash this as they say. Look forward to the next stage Anth.
Cheers both! Yes, it’s a bit of a task, and I’ve only got six weeks this time, but I’ll get there!
Going to be a good one Anth.  I expect your friend is a real crowd pleaser at Santa Pod but bit hard on the suspension!
He did have a slight ‘incident’ and trashed the front end Steve, but all sorted now! Not the best pic as had to take it at an angle because of reflections, but got a bit done today on the background:
Looking good Anthony loving the fine detail as always.  There is a great app on android called photoscan it takes 5 pictures which are amalgamated into one with no reflection even when taken through glass with the flash on, you then set the 4 corners and it squares up the picture..I use it all the time..

I nearly did the same with the pic Bari funnily enough! Don’t normally get the issue with reflections but paint seems particularly ‘wet’ :)
Between work and ‘out’ last night, managed to get the track in:
that's a good peice right there good luck finishing it Kodi nox

Bit more progress last night after my Manchester jaunt: Early days but the ‘a little a day’ method seems to be working!
