Carol there is a small courtyard behind the wall the roof is part of the kitchens I believe there is a small shrub that has grown in the yard and pokes up over the wall . It’s just the outline of the shrub I need to work on it more, it does actually lay along the roof a bit as the branches are very thin and long . If it doesn’t look right towards the finished painting I will just remove it and darken the area more , it will be darker anyway before I’ve completed it.
Looking a bit closer I can see what you have explained. Thanks.
Had a busy day , I did a little bit on this painting and decided to leave it for today , my concentration isn’t as good as it should be . Darkened the  roof in some areas and started to add the tree branches on the right of the painting, possibly go a bit darker with some of the shadows and shaded areas  eventually.
I have been unable to work on this for a few days , I did manage to get sometime today and started to add more details. I think another hour should see it finished , I also need to be careful I don’t overdo the detailing.
Your painting has an overall calmness about it, Dixie. Sits gentle on the eye.
Odd you should say that Carol as the place has a very calm atmosphere and you do feel that you are away from the hustle and bustle of life ,very lace back but in a good way .
These are the places I search out, find a quiet corner with a coffee and watch the world go by. Dixie, I don't want to cut your posts up. If you have completed your painting, I'd like to pop in my w.i.p from the past two days. If you haven't please let me know and I'll hang on until you have. Thanks.
Go ahead Carol , I’ve almost done now
Had a short session to finish it off , it’s been hanging around to long and I’m at risk of fiddling binning it , stopped here , putting it on the gallery.
A grand finish for a grand building, Dixie.
That is just so good Paul. Amazing detail and accuracy, definitely send them a copy! Love the way you've done the tree foliage.
A good result Paul and a complex set of buildings to undertake… just my thing!
