Beginning to discover what I can and what I cannot do....I have stolen this pic from a blurry avatar ( probably not a clever idea) of a F B friend. It's him and his son.   Coloured pencil and my usual signature pen.  It's taking forever.  I will try not to bin this one...anyhow the bin is full.
It’s looking good Sylvia, do not bin it .
Doesn’t look as tho’ you’ve struggled.  You’ve got the movement there - while you’ve problem solved, why not do a quickie straight in with acrylic or watercolour. I find that after the initial struggle and overcoming the probs, it comes more easily when you try it in a different medium. I remember a portrait I did ( not Bill) when it took a few goes before I was satisfied. I gave it to the “ client” then did another one….it was better than the original😆
Yes a good idea..thanks
Please don't bin it. I love the bit you've inked.
Do you plan Sylvia to make this drawing to be an surprise gift? It's interesting idea, to draw from avatar's though! Not any easy, I have no doubt.

It's a very blurry avatar Pog. The grown up is a friend of my youngest sons , they were friends when they were the same size as the little one.  A bit of nostalgia.  He knows nothing about it.  If he likes it I will give it to him....I'm doing it as a "seeing" exercise..

I know you mean Sylvia 😊 Have fun progressing then! I'm follow 👍
Well still plodding on with these tw. So it's not been binned yet. Looking at the photograph I wonder if the big guys head is too small!  But I think it's the angle I have taken the pic at... Another hour or less and I can wave them good bye .
Syl - I think you're probably right about the size of the head, at least in relation to the junior partner: but press on, ducks, press on!
