Over the last four/five days or so I've noticed the site jumps up and down first when you're trying to make a comment on the gallery in the comment box, sort of shifts itself about before settling down.  Rather annoying as the cursor takes more time to find itself in the right place!  Anyone else had a problem?

I can’t say that I have noticed any difference Heather , I will pay more attention to see if there is anything happening.
I use an Android tablet Heather and I find this effect on various websites.  I think it's got something to do with the automatic zoom in. Not sure.  I must get round to checking my settings. Even posting this, my font size has changed whilst typing.
Yes, I've noticed it.  Here's what's happening...you click on a thumbnail to comment, the pic opens, you click or hover over the comment box, and at that point the site whacks in those three 'guides you might be interested in'.  It happens when you get near the comment box OR the three guides are a little late coming in...everything shifts to accommodate them, after that it's ok.  Just something to live with.
Just had another look…nothing to do with comments box, the three guides they shove in under the gallery pic are just a little late coming in.  When they do everything shifts down for obvious reasons.
That's it Lewis ... wonder if anything can be done on the tecchie side to adjust this?
I’m not getting anything like that on my iPad, or maybe my settings are different.
I've not noticed this on my desktop pc - haven't tried it on the Ipad yet (yes, I finally got it to work - I say I: I mean a young friend who tut-tutted at me most annoyingly and sorted it out; or at least brought it to life;  they can be so patronizing, forgetting  they were  born into the computer era, whereas I was trained on a 1908 Underwood typewriter: I approach computers and new technology consumed by the fear they'll explode on me). But I digress.   While I've no valid technological explanation for this phenomenon, I put it all down to gremlins, and the fact that the internet sometimes works without a glitch, and often doesn't.  So if the problem persists, I'd suggest a word with the technically competent; but it might resolve itself.
Well, I just commented on Dixie’s fishing village painting, and didn’t notice anything different at all. I’m using an iPad, no laptop any more!
It happens on my desktop and iPad.  There’s a tiny delay while the website selects and loads the graphics for three guides you might like.  I don’t see it as a problem.  If you don’t get this maybe you have a faster internet service than me,
Double post…my wobbly fingers.

I see what you mean now , I’ve just been on the gallery and the painting I selected came up there was a very slight delay as the guidelines and the comment box came up as well . To say it was very quick is an understatement as it was almost instant literally a blink of an eye, I’m working on full fibre with a hight speed internet, it’s made such a difference in the last few months since it was changed. My son in law who knows more about these things than me was surprised at how fast it work when he used it a few weeks back.
