I plan to start getting out and about a bit doing plein air painting this summer and just wondered how people carry their wet painted artwork back home? What do you use? I've been looking at the Richeson Wet Panel Box or theres some frames at Jackson Art but I don't see many other options online. They are alos limited to one or two size panels. I really don't have the time (or energy) to make anything myself so am looking at options to purchase. Thanks in advance for any ideas :-)
Paul Talbot-Greaves recommended the Richeson box as part of our ideal gifts for artists in the reviews area saying - 'Richeson products are just great quality. I love my Richeson Sienna Pochade Box, which is actually a very cleverly designed easel with a glass palette. For some reason wet panel carriers are hard to find, so this one, in matching wood would make a perfect accompaniment to my pochade. Slightly pricey, but knowing the quality is good and with a great look, this is definitely on my wish list'. Hope that's of some help!
That's great help, thank you very much.
It depends how far away from the car I am!   Up to now, I've used stacking strawberry boxes made of robust plastic corrugated paper with reinforced corners that came free gratis from a local fruit farm.  They are somewhere between A2 and A3 size - so they are plenty big enough.  I always take 2 - the one on top protects my work from dust.   When I went on a plein air painting retreat last year, some of the other artists liked my simple and practical solution.
