In the March issue of Leisure Painter (out next week) Steve Strode shares his 30-day painting challenge with an idea-a-day to keep you creative for a whole month.  We are also sharing all Steve's 30 ideas on Facebook, inviting everyone to have some fun. So, whether you read Leisure Painter or not find the event on Facebook from January 19 onwards https://fb.me/e/31l6PRZ9f and join in too.

As a matter of interest - has anyone taken this up?  And if so, how are you getting on? I haven't, because for once I have a lot of ideas teeming to stir me from a somnolent posture - more would just pull me into procrastination mode as I flapped helplessly between them - there are times when I can resemble a stranded seal - but it would be interesting to know if this was working for people.

I am painting every day, often something small…but Steve Strode’s ideas are brilliant, I’m filing them away.

I've done some of them when I have time. I posted on facebook but it does seem like no one else is doing it from what I can tell, which is a shame. There's some great ideas in there.

It's the first time we have tried this sort of thing as a Facebook event and it's not getting the engagement we'd hoped for (loved seeing your submissions Gary!) but never mind, I will think of other ways to share Steve's great ideas....

I didn’t follow this up ( time constrictions at home ) but I couldn’t find a way to join the daily sessions. I was going to email Dawn but other things got in the way. There seem to be different sections on POL FB eg. seeing the entries so far for TALP and , as I said, for Steve’s challenge. It’s probably me being a bit clueless.

I can't find any way to join in either!  I've gone around in circles three times now, and have given up - the links aren't live, you just get bounced back to the beginning - I'm not surprised it's not getting much engagement if I can't see how to engage....

OK, it's Facebook's weird little habits, not POL's.  You have to click on Discussion, then the individual challenges appear.  I very rarely go to Facebook these days, the best you can say of it is that it's not quite so God-awful as Twitter/X, so I'm out of practice with it.

Unfortunately the topics of the forthcoming days don’t appear, only the present one - and I can’t figure out how to join at 9am. Also, I’ve mislaid my LP mag which gives the list! Maybe Gary can give info, he’s doing the challenges.
