Just out of curiousity. Can you tell me what an average daily number of people interact on this site? I don't think I've ever seen any stats.
With Sarah, Phil, Ellen, Rose the dentist, and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

Dawn - on her hols until later in September, would be the one to answer that, unless an eagle-eyed employee spots your question before her return.  There were stats I think, once upon a time; I'm not sure - well, I don't know! - where to find them now.

In general, there would be no reason whatsoever for POL to make these figures available to all and sundry…    I’ve no doubt that they are available, because it’s the main criteria for potential paying advertisers to the online site. The bigger the footfall, or circulation of a newspaper or magazine etc, the more expensive the advertising! Obvious really! Potential advertisers or advertising agencies can request a ‘media pack’, where all the relevant stats are available!

This is not an official figure of course and I have no idea where the data is sourced from, nor indeed of the timeline, but......according to the url metrics website (www.urlm.co.uk), the Painters Online site has 928,746 pages viewed per month, with 24,638 monthly visits.  It also gives an average figure of 578 daily visitors.

I'd be more interested to know how long people stay once they've found the site. A thirty second visit does no one any good, a half hour browse is really good.

578 daily visitors sounds far too low! I get several hundred a day visiting my gallery…
