Why spoil an otherwise fantastic website with those ridiculous floating adverts that seem to cover the thumbnails in the Gallery. Even as I scroll down new ads pop up, covering more. Doesn't happen every time, but when it does, it's persistent.
While I understand the need to raise revenue, the gallery is about the artwork. Please don't cover it up with ads. It's bad enough that the thumbnails keep moving as you scroll down the page.

Alan, I’m very much aware of that however this is more of a technical issue where the “floating” part is the problem. The ad sits over a row of thumbnails and then stops. As I scroll down numerous floating ads appear and do the same, until there is 4 or 5 on the page rather one which remains at the bottom. Once the page is refreshed the numerous ads sit behind the thumbnails.
I’ve found over the years that a website being ‘free’ is often used as an excuse for poor maintenance & testing. I’m sure that’s not how PoL perceive their work.

Ron, like Alan I don’t have this problem and I’ve been using Safari on iPad, Microsoft Edge on Windows and the default browser on an Android phone. Perhaps it’s the browser you are using? Have you tried alternate browsers? I know Chrome , Firefox and IE can give different results on the same page.

Unfortunately it's not a platform or browser issue, that I am aware of, as I am using MacOS with Safari (latest). Perhaps the screenshots below may give the dev team a clue.
My own thoughts are that when the Ad moves down the page (when scrolling) it doesn't delete the previous one. Consequently, when the page refreshes the thumbnails are refreshed over the old Ad boxes. My background is in software testing and I've seen this many times before when a page is only partially refreshed to speed it up.

Ron I can see why your so frustrated with it , like the others who answered your question I only have a static advert bar.
I know nothing about how these things work, it’s all electronic magic to me so unfortunately I can’t make any suggestions as to how to resolve the issue, hope it sorted out for you soon .
