What great pics and not one from me .   The inspire for Stop was my ex daughter in law who is Sam Brown who sang Stop.   I was hoping to do a pic of her warbling but sadly it wasn’t to be. Tomorrow The Bible   .
I’m a bit late arriving today, but you know how it is, I kept finding Stop signs on the road! Meanwhile, anyone remember these? Don’t think they exist any more, unless anyone knows different?
The local school has a lollipop man , there’s progress for you,. He’s a right Tyrant , jumps out and expects you to stop immediately I really don’t know how he hasn’t been knock down so far .
Probably a serge t major in another life.
We are being a bit traditional here today. No doubt Lew will produce something more amusing!
My pic concerns the 'WICKED BIBLE.' In 1702, King Charles 1st ordered a run of his new bible.  The printer made a SLIGHT error in one of the commandments...one word missing  turned 'Thou shalt not commit adultery' into 'THOU SHALT COMMIT ADULTERY!'  Charles ordered the print run destroyed...fair enough...but the humorless plank also fined the printer so heavily that he was ruined.  This print became known as the 'Wicked Bible'.  Eleven copies are known to have survived.  If you've got one in your loft, they are worth £50,000.
Excellent work everyone, like the bit of history Lew. A quick sketch from me .
You are a clever lot.   Like your Wicked Bible  Lew, Amen.
Very interesting story Lew, I'd never heard of the wicked bible before. And just love your take on it Paul.
My ten empties.
