Saw these two whilst in Keffalinia ,so into my sketch book they went.
Ha…good luck to that chap with that lady on the back.  Great.
Two small jugs that I actually own, both come from shipwrecks of the coat of Gibraltar and were given to me by a navy diver .
A lovely shine on that jug Stephen. Interesting ones from you Paul, you can only imagine the backstory. I haven’t got any brown jugs but I do have a collection of little brown pots…I’ll go now and paint them while I have time..
Well done with these jugs…great story to go with those of yours Paul.  Sunken treasure.
Your salvaged jugs brought the Mary Rose to mind.  A brilliant museum in Portsmouth…crammed with stuff that had been on the sea-bed for 400 years.  Great that pottery survives unbroken.
From what I know they two jugs are from different ships the oldest is the top one from a frigate though to be around 1780 - I800 , the other is after 1800 but before 1870 or so and was from a merchant ship sunk after a storm.  Not worth a great deal but a family treasure and memories of course that yiu can’t buy . There is a story behind me getting them but that’s not for on here , nothing dodgy or illegal.
I only have a blue jug in my pics  this one was made by a good friend of mine.I ate the apricots. Lovely story Paul.

That’s a lovely painting Sylvia.
Did a bit of gardening first but enjoyed this and am now in the mood to start painting.
