Lovely. Plenty of 'Jizz' in this Linda. Reminds me of a day about 40 years ago, when I had one of these beautiful birds perch on my rod, whilst I was fishing for carp. Some oaf from the RSPB reckoned that anglers disturbed the bird life! Considering the blue flash broke my doze, I reckon it was the other way around! John

Am also enjoying the bird pictures. I recall using the word jizz on social media to describe how to recognise a bird species by its movements, vague shape etc, only to be told that these days it means something quite different. (embarrassed).

Having just googled the word I can see why you were embarrassed Norrette. So many of our words have changed meaning over the years , I often get it wrong , and been dyslexic doesn’t help much .
hehe. Wish they'd leave our language alone. :)
A new word for my vocabulary lol

I painted this for one of Jean Haines's tutorials. I remember seeing flamingos at Slimbridge when I visited it as a student many years ago and thought my painting was appropriate here.
So beautiful Jennifer .
Certainly is lovely, Jennifer - I really didn’t think you needed tutorials!
Really beautiful Jennifer. A stunner.
Jennifer  your painting is outstanding it beautifully done. I had thought  of doing a tribute to the late Peter Scott , someone who influenced me as a child , not many people did. I then thought I could not paint in the detailed way that he did , so in the end I chickened out and went for a very quick 30 minute loose watercolour of an imaginary wetland. Sorry Sir Peter for not attempting to do one in detail .  The mount is to keep the painting flat as it’s still a bit wet , and it makes it look much better .
