31. Redraw one of your favourites from the list.
T'is indeed a great sketch from Sylvia's voluminous sketchbooks - the coastal scene that is, to which George referred.  And of course her heffalumps' equally voluminous rear-ends....  Stephen's sketches are very fine, and I like his photographic skills - allowing the watercolour paper to assume its full measure of importance in these paintings; then Dixie's humpbacks .. books, stones...    You're a talented lot, it has to be said.  Some of these go well beyond simple sketches - I could cheerfully hang them on my wall; I suppose none of us can claim to rival Constable (I don't know, though!); however, it's often his sketches that appeal to many of us most, rather than the brilliant grand designs that represent his formal work - the freedom offered by sketches can be liberating; stops us from nit-picking and defeats caution and fear of "getting it wrong".
