Some lovely inspiring quick work in this thread that I keep looking through.  I wonder if someone would be so kind to inform me if images posted here automatically resize to fit?

Ian  It may depend what you are uploading from. I use an iPad or iPhone which gives me the option to choose a size from small, medium, large. I usually choose medium.
Ian, I’d say yes! I’ve posted 20mb images with no problems…
Is that still the case Alan?  I too have uploaded very large files in the past, the POL uploader seemed to sort it out, but recently I've had a few rejected because the file size was too large. Maybe some recent update has changed things.  In MY ACCOUNT/MY ART a dialogue box comes up with info on uploading, and gives a maximum file size of 6MB.  I reduce my file size in photoshop and save the smaller files in a separate folder. If you don't have photoshop, or one of the similar free apps, I believe Photoshop have a free online app that let's you alter file size.
A very quick sketch covering three days something yellow , the ocean and a puzzle . Most done left handed using watercolour pencil and biro pen .
Quite by accident or plain carelessness I mixed up this thread and the sketch a day , however it seems to be working out ok. I’m wondering if in future I set a month challenge give the subject for the month and include a list of daily challenges as well , very similar to what’s happening this month . I would like your opinions , polite ones please and of course welcome suggestions, thank you in advance and for taking part in this month’s mixup.

Bit of a muddle Paul but that’s us not you .   It is a good idea to set a theme…..  Ian my dog Sam is not vain….he is puzzled lol.  Today’s set theme is Puzzle ….but I do like your yellow roses.   Incidentally he has written a book.  I speak dog  ,   Honest.

Great sketching Sylvia, Paul and Ian. I admit to mistaking the list of things to sketch on the original page as just numbered, itemised subjects ,and being thick not realising that they referred to the days of the month. Hence the incorrectly posted yellow Percy.
I personally think we might have two separate threads - one for the daily sketch and one with a list of subjects, or is that too much!? I know I don’t contribute regularly to the sketch a day, but have been following it since it started about five years ago and feel it would be a pity to lose it.
I say nothing George…..😁   Good idea Tessa.
It’s not a problem doing two threads , I will do a May challenge and a May sketch a day list as separate threads . The sketch list will be quite random things , basically as I think them up at the beginning of a month there may be duplicated some  months  for example sketch a tree ,they look different at different times of the year , so do wild flowers etc.

Thanks Dixie. Not sure where you got the April daily list? Maybe they do it regularly, in which case it would save you doing it.
