As several people have said they will miss the monthly challenge that Dawn used to set up I thought I would offer one for this month. I willing to start a monthly challenge but will say I won’t and can’t be a replacement for Dawns challenges. I think it would work if you offered up subjects so that I can open the tread at the end of each month , also suggest the month you want it to feature . I though for this months challenge that a suitable subject would be Winter Blues, we are at that time of year where we are fed up with the weather , news isn’t great and we have the itch for spring to hurry along .  I leave it to those of you who wish to participate to interpret winter blues in your own unique ways, any medium any style that you want to use . Looking forward to seeing the results, I suppose I’d better get my thinking cap on and take part as well .
I can start this one off, Paul.  Not a new painting, it was done some years ago, but I think I called it Winter Blues.  Will do another if I get time.
An old one from my archives also…The view from my studio, looking over the pond.

Another oldie. Not all blue, just makes me feel that way thinking about it. Roll on Spring.
What a good start , three excellent paintings posted .
It's good to see it back Paul, well done. This is the closest I can come:

A good subject, Dixie. And a very good start by you all.
I apologise in advance if you have seen this before. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.
Well Worth a second airing Sylvia! It’s very cheeky and any winter blues I might have had have been chased away by the smile on my face when I saw it. Sylvia you are a legend !
Here’s one from the archives too. Winter blues from an Orkney perspective.

AweGill I don't know what you mean…..lol.   Are these stones on Orkney?   I have seen the ones on Lewis Callanish.   You have captured them well….  So many bluesy paintings from everyone.   Good subject Paul.
Some empty winter trees from me, done in black and white, but the mood is blue. Double page A5 using inks of various types.
