I always start with the home page (is that the right term?) and this morning absolutely love the stunning paintings displayed, it is a new selection from when I looked last. The paintings displayed are always excellent but I thought the current selection exceptional. And I am wondering, now we don't have Dawn, is someone selecting them? Surely an automated process wouldn't do this well. If I remember rightly I read that the paintings on the Gallery ?banner? are auto-selected, which is why some advertising had snuck through. I'd just be interested in knowing how the home page paintings are selected.
I've been following up the discussion on the problems with the entry form and the frustration of having no-one to go to for help. I wish all those entering every success, as much with the entry form as with the competition itself!

Having just had a look Sandra , they look very much like the banner that was on the gallery a few days ago as I recognised most of the paintings . There are some different one as well , I think it’s a random selection from the gallery’s of the members from what I remember in a discussion a long while ago.

Dawn used to select the images for the Home Page, the banner at the top is automatically selected at random from current submissions.
The Home Page images are, I think, still manually selected but seem to be changed every three days…
Since Dawn left, I’ve submitted something in the region of several dozen drawings, and yet to have any selected…
Are they trying to tell me something I wonder!
