Beautiful range of trees posted, they are irresistible! I think, including my most recent garden, I have planted over a thousand trees over just short of fifty years. Some I have done from Acorns, conkers, cuttings etc. This is an old Lime tree part of an avenue of Limes on the entrance road onto the estate where I live……they must be ancient!

Beautiful trees all round folks! Here’s one of my favourites which my daughter now has on her wall.
With Sarah, Phil, Ellen, Rose the dentist, and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

What impresses me about many of these paintings is that people are finding so much colour in their trees - distinguishing them from those who always paint their trees grey or black.  I knew someone who professed complete puzzlement at this - she said she never saw colour in tree trunks, "surely they're all BROWN, aren't they?".  It must be a dull life if you can never see colour in the familiar -look at an old, twisting oak for long enough, and you will see the colour; but perhaps my friend just didn't spend enough time looking. There are quite a few tree paintings in my gallery, so I won't clog up this thread with them - the keen can go and take a peek!

Love that tree Tessa  it’s a beauty. Can I suggest that you take a look at this weeks bonus artist , her sketch’s of trees are superb and done with a ballpoint pen.
