On Wednesday a friend gave me this picture and last night at art group I began to paint it. It was only half way through that the penny dropped....it's an AI image. If the station is open there wouldn't be grass growing along the platform edge, if it's closed the clock would not be illuminated, the reflections on the platform are in the wrong place, the loco looks American but the coaches don't, and so on. I thought I was pretty good at recognising this crap but this one caught me out. The painting is going in the dustbin. If it's this hard now I dread to think where we'll be in five years time.
Hmm… I can see what you mean Peter, the clock is an obvious indicator! It is concerning of course, vigilance is the keyword.

My suspicions are so aroused by anything now that I'm in danger of becoming obsessed with AI - I even suspected this post: new member?  Talking about AI?  Must be AI! I hope it isn't.......
Yes, I'm also ambivalent about AI. On the one hand, AI can be incredibly helpful in many areas of life, but on the other hand (in my opinion), it can destroy just as much. When I search the internet for any subject with the term "hand-painted watercolor," over 90% of the images I get are digital watercolor paintings. That is, those created with a PC, laptop, and the appropriate software. Personally, I think that everything digital is already a form of AI—that is, artificial intelligence. Currently, scammers are cloning voices using AI, pretending to be grandchildren in dire need—you hear the supposedly genuine, desperate voice saying: "Mommy, I ran someone over, I need help and money." I'm actually completely ambivalent about this... (sorry, just my thoughts on this topic)

Not quite an artists bio in my opinion.

I noticed the bio , bit odd for this forum unless Jennifer is also a painter  be interesting to see what follows .
Just to put some perspective on this….even if Ms Davis’ bio is AI generated, there is still a person behind it, as there is with AI generated images. The intentions may be less than honest but I don’t think we are quite at the stage where the machines are thinking for themselves. At least I hope they still need telling what to do
...and more besides these:
Maybe it time to remove this lady ,looking at the evidence , I was doubting her from the start  why have a  photo showing the back of your head, maybe so your not recognisable. I will do so and if she is genuine she can appeal for reinstatement.
I've edited this post out of existence, because I was clearly correct in my first suspicion and Paul removed the post on which I commented.  He of the eagle eye.....!  Eternal vigilance is what we require....
