Hi everyone, I would like to thank you all for the kind messages you sent me I do appreciate them . Sorry I haven’t commented on your artwork for the past couple of weeks I have poked my nose into the gallery and had a look , some really fine work posted . So a collective super painting and beautifully done to you all.
I have dabbled a bit between bouts of nausea , dizziness and pain, I find paint a great distraction and give me something else to focus on . I’m not surprised that I find it relaxing etc , I originally started to watercolour paint when recovering from a spinal injury and have had the good fortune to use art whist work in with people suffering fro severe mental health problems. I have always been surprised at how artwork has benefited people and definitely aided their recovery, I’m convinced it’s helped me on more than one occasion.
Be nice to hear how others have use artwork as a relaxation etc as I’m sure many people find it’s a benefit.
This was my recovery painting it had taken me a long time ad it was done in ten minutes session over two weeks . I will be using it as a example at a workshop in doing next month, not to sure about how it look but it’s one I will keep.

oh wow, i love that colorful autumn picture! What great colours! One of my favorite!! I'm very happy that you're feeling a little better! Hopefully it continues like this - all the best for that! Painting is good for the psyche, definitely for me! Just seeing the bright colors makes me feel better! This is really great as an example for your coming workshop; in many ways.

Just calling in briefly - that’s a lovely vibrant painting of Autumn Paul. Re art and recovery, sometimes when someone has been ill or “ down”, they lose all interest for a while. There have been a few on here like that, me included. But to regain that interest is a wonderful thing! You look as though you’re on the up - good news!
