The New Brighton poster is by Septimus Edwin Scott (1879 to 1965) who was another excellent artist. He did a lot of railway posters but I get the feeling they brought in the money to enable him to do his other work. After WW2 he illustrated a lot of comic books.

Lewis et al,. I've just rediscovered this rather nice art deco advert from the US by an American illustrator called Coles Phillips. It was on my wall for some time many years ago. Evidently he was well known for his magazine covers.

I like it Andrew.  Art Deco and a poster...a double whammy for me.  I don't know this artist, I'll have to look him up.
