I’ve just had a nice long message from Sylvia , she messaged using a dictate machine as her eyes are unfortunately not as good as they were . She want to thank you all for your kind words , and would lime to do so herself but as yet can’t get onto the forum and is unable to read it herself. She I’d thinking of everyone and misses her forum time .
Sylvia is having to make a lot of changes in her life and is mobile now using a frame or sticks to get around, she is walking up the garden with her beloved Sam .
Her family have been great and taking good care of her , helping with the recovery etc. She used the dictation machine that her granddaughter set up for her and is still practicing with it , but her hope is to be able to use it on the forum .
Hope she is back with us soon , miss your input Sylvia.

Just had a message from Sylvia, she want to say thank you to everyone fir the kind wishes. Unfortunately she is having trouble with her eyes still and finds it hard to read the messages and use her iPad .
Good news is that Sylvia isn’t needing the carers coming in everyday as she has improved enough to be more independent, both her and Sam had a walk up the lane near here home yesterday. Bored and getting fed up with not being able to do things she loves , building up the courage to have a go at painting but concerned about how it might look.
She did joke about being a stubborn bitch , but it’s that attitude that’s helped her since the stroke , she did say being stubborn is something new .
What h this space as I’m convinced it won’t be long before she is back online .

I’m still keeping in touch with Dawn, and she sends her very best wishes to Sylvia and hopes that she’s back to her old self shortly.
Paul, would you be kind enough to pass this message on please, assuming of course that she’s not up to reading this thread herself just at the moment! And of course my best wishes also…

I certainly will Alan , I make a point of letting her know what is happening. Unfortunately at the moment reading the forum is difficult due to the deterioration of her eyesight. Not central vision and limited peripheral vision is the problem that Sylvia is having , she copes with it far better than I ever could and while it gets her down she doesn’t let it beat her and is Always trying to find ways of continuing with her painting and keeping up with the forum . Certainly an inspiration, I openly admit my admiration for her determination to keep going , Sylvia says it’s because she’s a stubborn bitch and won’t give up , a feisty lady .
