Castle Crag, Borrowdale from a photo. Thought the tree shadows would "add a bit" to the sketch - Was a frantic 40 minutes !!
Great to see new people still joining :)  and what a lovely variety of sketches - I am so glad I kick-started this! Was at art class today so the sketches I did took a bit longer than usual - a table was set out with a lovely selection of still life stuff - here is one of them - fountain pen and watercolour on CP paper.
This is lovely with just those extra bits of delicate colour added, Margaret.
Wonderful bright, bold, cute and natural sketches above. Everyone is working hard to stick to their own deadlines.....I’m always a bit last minute! A 30 minute sketch, one of a pair of stone candlesticks, 2b and 6b pencils on cartridge paper.

Fabulous work, everyone. Lesley, Ivy Rose is gorgeous, I hope you continue with this portraiture drawing.

Thankyou carol. I'm thinking of which medium to use at the moment, this will be a big challenge for me...
Lovely idea Fiona , great sketch Richard, beautiful colours Margaret.   Keep up the great work...
Well done all, again. I actually look forward to these little sketches! Yesterday and today.
I was idly going through the obituaries today where there sometimes are some excellent old photographs.  I came across this which I thought rather poignant.  I don't suppose mankind will ever be able to live without strife ....

I have enjoyed scrolling through all the sketches.  I am not going to promise that I do one a day!
Wow fantastic sketches everyone, such varied subjects and styles. I am going through a phase of obsessing over figure drawing so here is today's effort - took about  half an hour, drawn from my own photo
My great grandaughter, sketch in charcoal, ten minute tester, I don't usually do portraits,   it's a good starting point.
Lesley Hardy on 08/01/2020 14:15 I am thinking how wonderful for Ivy  to have a portrait sketch done at the age of 1 day by great grandma 😊
