Excellent start Stan!
Did this self-portrait (using a mirror) with a strong art lamp on the table - (did smooth my lines  out!)   Took approx 30 mins with water soluble wax crayons.   I will admit that it makes me look about 20 years too young - it has also been pointed put that my hair is blacker and less brown  (fortunately the lighting didn't show my  increasing number of white hairs!)

That’s lovely Margaret...nowt wrong with white hair... 🙃
People rising to the challenge.  Lovely stuff from Margaret, and Marjorie.  Stan's sketch looking good. PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING!  I am about to post my effort.  Please do not view this after eating.
You were warned.  Drawn from a photo...my first and last selfie pic.  I'm wearing my how do you work this phone expression.  Needs more work, but not something I want to dwell on...
Am just loving that Lewis and Margaret.   Haven't started mine, am going to do next week.
Brilliant Lew.  Double whammy.
Doing that so quickly Margaret - brilliant! Lew, your fantastic imagination again, superbo!!
I think these are all brilliant, Sylvia I love all your positive brush strokes, Marjorie that's terrific, Stan, that's looking so good, can't wait to see the end result, Love that Lew, two for the price of one!! Margaret lovely loose style to your portrait, I'm not sure if I've left anyone out, sorry if I have. I wasn't looking forward to this challenge at all but i'm quite pleased, spent about half an hour on this looking through mirror, pencil pastels on A3 sized paper.
That's an excellent portrait Linda, love the style, the marks, strengthening just here and there. I'm dying to have another go, maybe a sketch, maybe without my specs so that I can just concentrate on the planes and tones.
What a rather beautiful drawing Linda...
Thanks Marjorie, Sylvia and Stan, had mixed reactions from family 👍👎😟
