It is with regret that I report the passing of Ruth Dolan, who used the gallery for many years . It only in the last few years that she has slowed down her artwork due to frailty and deterioration of her eyesight. As she said to me last week in92 +and have had a good innings so it’s time to go and be with my beloved family.  Sleep well sweet lady .

That’s so sad.  She hasn’t posted much on the gallery recently, but I used to enjoy seeing her lovely colourful work.

Lovely Ruth she was special. I always enjoyed her work, v fresh and bright with daffy sheep and cows.   Thank you for your friendship Ruth.

Yes, I remember Ruth. Always supportive, kind and positive. Very sad to hear the news.
With Sarah, Phil, Ellen, Rose the dentist, and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

I have chatted with Ruth two or three times a day for the last couple of years and it’s only in the past week that she suddenly deteriorated and was unable to respond herself. My tribute to  her is to post her last painting she posted this in March this year.

Paul, why don’t you feature Ruth as the bonus artist next weekend?  There’s a lot of her lovely work on the gallery that I’m sure we’d like to see again.

This is sad news. Sending my condolences to her friends and family. A wonderful idea to feature her work as bonus artist.
