As you are aware in recent days there has been quite some discussion around offensive paintings on the gallery, this of course leads to a discussion of what is offensive . It’s one of those things that we all interpret differently and thereby lays the problem what I accept is maybe very different to what you do.
TALP are encouraging young people and children to view the site and look at the gallery hence the reason to be more aware of the problem that explicit images may cause . Following discussion with Dawn we agree that we do need to be aware of what we post on a family friendly site . There is no ban on posting nude painting but please be aware of what you post and if in doubt don’t post it . To make it simple don’t include public hair or to much detail and of course please don’t post anything that could be seen sexually explicit.
I hope you will support Dawn and the team in trying to keep the site a safe and pleasant environment for us all to enjoy. I hope this is of help and of course would welcome discussion but please let’s not have arguments about it .
Thank you in anticipation of your support.

I agree, Dixie.
It has been mentioned, in the past, that a gallery moderator would be handy. Maybe, to send an email directly to Dawn and if she deems the art objectionable, remove it sooner rather than later and avoid any further undesirable discussions.
Words alone are not going to stop such postings, but blocking the artist from posting into the site just might.

Well said Dixie. It's bad enough with those who knowingly persist in pushing the boundaries, but recently one posting did go too far. Thankfully the artist did realise the content caused offence and removed it. People have to remember this is not some free public site but one maintained and paid for by the publishers of The Artist and Leisure Painter. If it wouldn't be shown in the magazines, don't post It here..

I think the gallery should have a report this post button, same as the forum. Not just for reporting explicit images but for reporting ai images, copyrighted images and works that are stolen.
Edit: And adverts we've had a few of them in the gallery too, forgot about them.
I just think if the gallery were moderated it would help keeps things pleasant all round.
