I’ve posted a few of my granddaughter Lily’s work on the gallery and I’ve always appreciated your lovely comments about her work.
I’m so proud of her, (she does have health issues, that I’m not prepared to enlighten on). She is in her final year at Nottingham Art College on a foundation course and has applied to five universities to study Illustration. She was accepted at all five, unconditionally. She was gobsmacked.
These were a small part of her portfolio. She had to illustrate from a film that had not been animated. She made a book including an hard back cover, and her film was ET.
The top sketch was drawn in a life drawing class.

Thank you Tessa, Denise, Fiona, Sarah, Paul and Gillian for your lovely messages. I’m sure she’ll choose wisely, she has the full support of her Nottingham Art College tutor. It’s probably down to two at the end of the day, she’s looked around one of them and she’s got an appointment to view the other one on her short list at the end of April. They both offer excellent BA Hons degree in illustration and also in their final year they’re placed into industry as part of their degree. Exciting times, she still doesn’t believe she’s had unconditional acceptance’s. All she has to do now is believe in herself.
