Adibanji is going to have a good weekend as I've just purchased it as well - thanks for the recommendation.
I’ve got one of his books full of sketches too. I got it after doing a workshop at Patchings last year with him. A great character and  very inspirational.  Looking at the book makes you want to pick up a pen or pencil and start sketching straight away!
A great workshop, Christine, by the sound of it. My copy is arriving Wednesday :)
Think I might ask for commission...promise you will all enjoy it.
Do you remember Adebanji on here, years and years ago?  Sheer hard work and constant sketching has made him a remarkable artist: I don't have his book (must rectify that right speedily) but I do follow him on whatever medium he's on when I see his name.  What he's got is what many of us (talking about himself again....) haven't got, and that's confidence.  Obviously, he has energy, and a bit of cheek, too - you draw people on public transport if you like, and don't be surprised by an "'Ere, wots your game then?" - but he doesn't fret over his work so far as I can see, he just gets down and does it.   A worthy President of the ROI.
Here is one of Adebanjis sketches of one of his children as a small child. To see more on this site just put his name in   Search on the The gallery and his work will appear .

A typical double page from one of his sketch books. Stillman & Birn Delta sketch book. Photo courtesy of Jackson’s Art.
From which you can see - he also has beautiful handwriting.
My copy arrived earlier this afternoon. An impressive amount of information. These are the two pages I will studying and sketching to get started.

and this one.
What impresses me about his sketch book drawings, is the way he fills each page, every one virtually packed with sketches! I have it on good authority that he has a second book coming out very shortly - I’m not sure if it’s a follow up on his first book, or something totally unrelated! I’ll certainly be buying it!
I shall look out for that!
