Have just seen a blog from Sheila Lawton, she is about to close her membership of POL .  For various reasons which include the new feature of Sales and the new technology which is possibly not working as it should on her device she has decided to go. I find this really sad and counterproductive.   Several of us have had technical glitches and some of us don’t like some of the new features.  But to feel the need to go is awful. I wonder if any other members are contemplating this.  She has put her comments on her blog.  Please go to it and encourage her to stay .
I’ve already put a positive comment on her blog Sylvia, agreeing with yours and asking her to stay. I think she felt she would not be able to use the site as she has until now, which I hope is not true! Very sad if people leave because they’re not happy with the changes.
I saw your positive comment 😊Tessa.  Hopefully other people will add theirs.
Sad to lose members as we can ill afford to. I am not keen on the new website but will simply use it less rather than leave outright. if the 'studio' business means paying to use the site then I will think again.
All new websites take a while to bed-in - unanticipated glitches occur, and have to be put right.  And people get used to new formats eventually.  I don't have any issues about using the site - I hope the blog dysfunctionality (now there's a word that doesn't really exist) has been ironed out, but haven't had time to write anything to test it; I don't much like the 'sales' element; I didn't use the 'studio' function; and I don't use the 'hang on studio wall' feature either.  Nor do you have to, the site otherwise functions much as it did - on my PC; whether it works as well on other devices I don't know: it would be far from being the only website to have trouble with some of them.
Excuse my ignorance but how do you access someone's blog?

Good question. I used the search facility, but came up with +300 hits for Sheila Lawton... Anyway, here's a link, and I think she's at the top of this :  https://www.painters-online.co.uk/blogs/

Thank you Ian and Alan
Pleased to see that I am not the only one here who finds it sad to see a member go.   I have sent Sheila a message. Hopefully she will see it. I have asked on the forum what happened to our Private Messaging service ,it was a useful addition .  It has gone . No one picked up on my query.   Please could POL “ listen” as you used to do. Even recognition that a pertinent comment has been made would be good. I once poked my nose into “ Wet Canvas “ to see how it worked and thought how awful it was ,quite impersonal .  Please let’s not go down their path .
Sorry Sylvia - I missed seeing this on the forum. If I don't respond here, assume I've missed it and drop me an email. I will add it to the list of things for the technicians to take a look at.

is it possible that when you missed a query about the Message System,  you also missed the queries about missing notifications on new art work from the artist that  we follow ,  as I see lots of members are saying the same thing.  please can we have it back in working order.   thank you
