Who ever made the suggestion to put a pic on one side and it will be better in the morning....is a fibber.    Just tried this and it’s worse .
I think the point was to put it to one side and look at it in the morning with fresh eyes ...... um.... which you did.  And those fresh eyes shrieked 'disaster'.... Never mind - have another nice cliché: "we learn more from our failures than from our successes".  Or, if that just irritates, have a read of Kipling's 'If'.
Or what about ‘Better to have tried and failed, than to have never tried at all’ Another load of nonsense!
Or”  don’t believe everything you hear...”so now  I will go away and try, try again..
One that sticks in my mind from way back and totally useless is  "I knew them when they lived of the smell of an oil rag".
Put it away until you can think of a solution or start again or paint over it.  It isn’t the end of the world. I think Robert is right.  We learn from our failures.  On that basis I must know a lot!
Or to be more up-to-date..should have gone to Specsavers.
Lots of advice and witticisms, like the oily rag Denise...have walked away for even longer and  cleaning the fridge...
That’s a bit drastic isn’t it!?
Yes....the fridge. BUT, because it was lousy weather today, I cleaned and re lined the pan cupboard ( classy wallpaper) and the cupboard under the sink - how does it get so jam packed?
I now feel very self satisfied....mmmm pans....another day another naff pic...
Glad I’m not the only one to take advantage of the lousy weather.....I’ve been scrubbing floorboards.......on my hands and knees, I might add! I did have one of those spongy kneeler thingy’s though. Required the help of the table leg to get back up.....
