Marjory - thank you! (Beyond Words). As I said, I have drawn and painted my entire life. It is my sanctuary. I grew up in an abusive environment, and my art was my escape. I hope no one thinks I am some pompous(ed) artist - Every image I post brings me Angst - always thinking it isn't good enough for my fellow artists here.

I do have a question, tho, for Mr. Perry - My work appears "photographic". Is that a bad thing to you! The Dutch school might have a disagreement. I want my images to seem quite real at first viewing. If you enlarge Any of my works, you will see a lot of unfinished brushwork. I stop at detail once I feel I have achieved an over-all "Real" (read photo) look.

That’s a good point that you made Sylvia. More members in the forum. But how about this. I have recently put up to reviews, one on brushes, the other on paints. Apart from dear Robert no other comments have been made, l would thought paints and brushes would interest the artist. Can you see that can rather puts anyone off. But please understand I am not trying to pick bones. I saw your message and thought of my experience.
