Continuing with the nautical theme, one of my favourites… The Gallery of HMS Calcutta, Portsmouth by Tissot.
Sorry to jump straight in.  But on the nautical theme Turner's  1818 titled A First Rate Taking In Stores. Is a favourite of mine. For many reasons, With a great back storey. 
Indisputable that it’s a great image, but the thread is for discussing figures and portraits.

That Rembrandt could have done today. Also looks like a scouser.
