This is a lovely site, cross words happen on occasion so what. But concern  is shown , problems listened to  , people are welcomed . It’s a great forum and venue to be part of......even though I have had my little moans re the new format Thank you P O L team. 🌹.

I totally agree Sylvia. Any transition period will inevitably have its issues, and this new site is no exception. However, Dawn is making huge inroads, she listens to our concerns and these issues are getting sorted by the web designers with her help. Thank you Dawn, it is appreciated!

It is a good site for many reason to do with art  etc, it’s also I think one of the most friendly forums as well. The friendliness is down to the  regulars, who do have the odd moan but come out and support when they feel the need to. May the friendliness continue, and thanks POL for providing the forum and a great site.

Like many I don't like change most of the time but accept it has to happen. I had difficulty with the new site and POL sorted it without any fuss. We should be grateful we have this facility and support.

Thank you everyone, this certainly means a lot. The subs, editorial and development team are all a in-house group and we have had an extremely busy week and massively appreciate your patience. We want to do everything we can to please and iron out all the minor issues as quickly as we can. Positivity is massively welcomed as we have really worked hard to continue offering the best possible services we can offer such wonderful customers. It might be free to access the website, but we know how much it means to you and that is important to us. We read every one of the comments and are working behind-the-scenes to add or adjust accordingly. It means as much to us as it does you, it is a highly successful website for us as a business and is equally important for the passionate team of artists on The Artist & Leisure Painter who deliver it. We strive to offer you the best experience and expertise.  There have been a few comments from customers regarding having to pay in future which is not the case for all the services you have enjoyed over the years. We are simply introducing some new paid features (Studio) which we all hope you enjoy over the weeks and months to come. Studio has been designed just for you and to help more artists in the future. Make use of the trial and remember, there's no commitment or card payments required to use it - so enjoy it on us. I'm personally signing off now for the weekend as I need to relax, as do we all, but we will pick up any remaining queries and suggestions next week, we promise.  Thank you everyone, it is really lovely to hear you are enjoying it. I echo all the positive comments above. Would have said this earlier but for some reason I didn’t get the usual email notifications about any of this thread! I had been getting them but they suddenly stopped. I have unsubscribed and resubscribed to see if it makes any difference. Tessa

Thank you Nicola for your positive comments. Whilst there have been some issues (which is inevitable), it’s good to know that both you and your design team are on hand, along with Dawn of course, to deal with these. This has certainly been the case so far and is appreciated. There are still a few areas that may benefit from some adjustments or minor tweaks, and I’ve recently highlighted a few of these in an email to Dawn for consideration. Tessa, I’ve actually never received notifications when a new subject was posted on the forum. I wasn’t aware that this was the case - replies to gallery postings and to blogs I have.
