I do agree with you Alan I was appalled at the size of some of the meals they served in the mess at the USAirforce bases in the states. I was looking through some of my old photos and decided to do a quick sketch based on one of them . RAF firemen in the early 1970s on the practice fire ground. It was hot in the kit and they were not fireproof .

Sorry Bari someone has given you a bum steer on that view. It’s not the well . A view of Holywell yes a nice one .
I did this a few years ago it is the actual St Winifredes well. She had her head chopped of it by some swinish man it fell into the well and grew back and lo and behold she was whole again. You are on my territory now. 😊

That little building to the left of the steps is where the well actually is. It is inside and most impressive the pic I have posted are the walls and windows I sketched from sitting by the well. It is a lovely place as I’m sure you know. I live about eight miles away and often walk on Talacre beach. I’m sure you have a sketch of that as well Bari ,point of Ayr Light house ?

Great sketching from everyone, I have to admit to having a soft spot for light houses and coastal landscapes! I am currently looking after my daughter’s miniature schnauzer Olaf. He thinks he can make himself comfortable on my brand new sofa, sleep on my bed taking up most of the space then deciding that we should be up and playing by 6.45am! Jog on Olaf! So here’s a sketch of the little monkey.

. I'm struggling with the lighthouse think I'll put it to one side and come back to it at a later date.
