Hi all I would like to make an apology to all of you whose work I regularly comment on  unfortunately I have had problems opening the gallery and I have not been able to comment for the past few days or more.  It’s not just the issues with the site it turns out to be a fault with my internet connection that made matters worse. I was thinking of going back over the last two weeks but that’s a huge task still give the problem with accessing the gallery due to site issues. I will hopefully be able to get on the gallery today as I also have some work to upload. Please take it I have put a positive comment on  your current paintings .
Remember the days when, if we wanted to show a painting beyond our immediate circle of fond admirers, we had to take a photograph, put it in an envelope, and send it off to a magazine in the usually forlorn hope they'd publish it? That probably seems like a lifetime away to younger people, but to me - that was last week: and I'm only a young shaver of 73.... I still reach for the envelopes and Basildon bond when I feel like writing a letter; not particularly because I like to write real letters - though as it happens, I do - but because I just forget I can send an email....  Until the 'puter dies; THEN I'm in trouble.... I don't think you need apologize, Paul - probably we all get internet connection problems now and then; and we know you wish us all well!  As we do you.
Oh Dixie Dean…you really are one of the people who keep this site a happy, interesting place… so do not feel any need to make any apology's.
Problems are just part of the game where computers are concerned Paul. I've had my share. No apologies needed, you do a fine job.
Thank you for your comment Robert, Sylvia and Jim .

Sylvia Evans on 16/04/2024 20:23:32 Agree with Sylvia, you contribute so much to this site and I always enjoy reading what you have to say. "Comment guilt" can be a real problem if you normally do comment, then have a period away (holiday, illness, complete creative drought sometimes), has happened to me in the past, and I've then dropped out altogether because I just couldn't ever catch up. Did try but the problem just kept compounding as there are usually so many excellent works. Periodically I do go back over someone's gallery but don't know whether the artist catches up with outdated comments, I suspect some are too busy to - anyone enlighten me? One day I intend to have another attempt at catching up, and just add a comment to the most recent, referencing earlier work as well.
Agree with everyone Paul don’t worry! Now me … I have just not looking s as t anything as can’t get in!! So gave up but hey I am online tonight!
