Very good Carol! I’ve got a bag full of these somewhere. To think we used to play with them…how innocent we were with our games…metal ballbearings and glass marbles and an old wooden bagatelle with a stick!

Yes Peter, you’ve cracked it again! I’m getting round to my “ buildings” by touching up old paintings to free me up a bit. I’m always ready for a quick challenge though….

This gave me the chance to do an oil from scratch rather than painting over an existing acrylic so I'm grateful. As for a new challenge, why don't you do a 'glass' picture too?

Thanks to, Tessa, Marjorie and Russell. I found this when digging up part of the garden border. It's what we called an 'allybomper' when I was young, a lot bigger than the normal marble. Yes, all good inventive toys, Marjorie. Which gives me an idea, produce a lantern from a large bean can (any can) with the candle snub inside. That's how expensive it got for us young'uns for Halloween night. Great fun back then. Peter, another fabulous image, well done.
